it was the perfect sunny summer saturday in seattle. shelby and her bridesmaids got ready in their apartment in ballard. they giggled and chatted as shelby got into her stunning dress. the boys tied their shoes, straightened their ties, and headed to gasworks park to meet up with the girls for aaron’s first look of his bride. everyone was so relaxed and ready to start the celebration. the anticipation of the entire day hung in the air as we strutted around gasworks park, taking photos and having a great time.

finally, the time came to head to the skansonia for the ceremony and reception. shelby and aaron could not have picked a more quintessential seattle venue. the skansonia offered incredible seattle views and it was such a treat to photograph all of the elements that made their “wedding on a boat” so unique.

a simple and sweet ceremony on the bow of the boat transitioned flawlessly into cocktail hour at sunset and then into a jaw-dropping reception. every piece of decor and every detail was gorgeously coordinated by taylor’d events to create the perfect ambiance and the delicious food only added to the magic of the evening.

i can’t believe i got to be there for all of it. shelby and aaron’s love radiated throughout the day and there were so many times when i caught glimpses of just how much they treasure each other. thank you to shelby and aaron for allowing me to document your day. i’m so grateful that i got to be there and bear witness to all of your new beginnings.
