Fall Playlist 2014

fall has settled in. here in seattle, the rains have started. it’s starting to feel eternally damp and cool outside and i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t kind of excited for it all. we’ve had a beautiful indian summer and gloriously golden october but now the nights are longer and the days are shorter. i’ve waited until a little later in the season to share this quarterly playlist with you a little because i was waiting for ben howard to share his new tunes with us all but mostly because i had been holding onto summer a bit this year. a wedding photographer doesn’t get to enjoy the summer weekends as much as most do. i didn’t even get to go paddleboarding (my new favorite activity) or swim in any body of water until september. but now, i’ve let fall take over and fully surrendered to the sweater weather. it’s no secret that it’s my absolute favorite time of year. and it’s high time for this wedding photographer’s off season to begin, with a whole new list of goals – both business and personal – to keep me busy.

i’m hoping to keep my soul at ease, my mind focused, and my heart grateful in this off season. and i’ll be listening to these artists while i do it. enjoy this cozy playlist, folks. it’s a good one.
