an unexpected turn in events left billy and i with an unexpected free weekend. we had always wanted to visit san francisco and since billy’s dad so graciously gifted us with a weekend away as an engagement present, we decided to take full advantage and run away to the bay area.
we have a friend there that we had been meaning to visit. she planned an incredible weekend for us. any other minute we had free, we followed the advice of one of my friends, julie, (check out her amazing food/travel blog over at table for two) who had visited a few days earlier. we biked 35 miles from san francisco along the coast to tiburon, ate one of our favorite meals ever at wayfare tavern, snacked on some delicious oysters at nettie’s crab shack, visited all the cliche spots and a lot of the local gems. the golden gate bridge even came out to say goodbye for a few minutes before we left. after a jam-packed weekend, i was in bed by 9pm last night in recovery. great holiday weekend. feeling refreshed and thankful for the experiences and memories billy and i had together. here’s a glimpse of one of our new favorite places.
I love the picture of the oysters and French fries – awesome oysters in the northwest.
you are so crazy talented!
