a month or so ago, i was asked to do some commercial work and pull together a shoot that illustrated what it meant to take advantage of every moment, live freely and live boldly. after growing up in new hampshire, the state motto kept coming to mind…”live free or die.” i asked three friends to meet me on the shores of lake michigan in chicago. with a vision in mind, we spent a few hours frolicking, soaking in the sun, and doing whatever we felt like. what resulted has become some of my favorite personal work and absolute favorite portraits. it’s important for me to let my creative juices flow freely and try things i wouldn’t normally try in the middle of a wedding season. i’m so thankful to these three individuals for being my guinea pig models for experimentation and pushing creative boundaries.
