i asked them how they met. in college, paige says. but there was the first moment. in college, eyes meeting, and it’s all very uncertain, all that’s to come. but they went for it. they got hitched in california, a destination wedding to remember. and now 5 years later they’re still giddy around each other. she calls blake “handsome” as we’re running around, clicking away at the camera. i love that. i love the tradition of “handsome” and i loved the love behind that word each time she used it for blake.
he makes her feel cared for and cherished. he is her something sweet.
so that first time they met in college, it was enough to set things in motion to bring them here to chicago. to me. 5 years after they said “i do.” to run around and be adorable in grant park. to document where they’ve been, how far they’ve come, and where they’re going.
