when i moved to chicago a few years ago, i didn’t know anyone. i lived at home with my parents for a little bit and would spend my weekends in the city, trying to build a life here with friends and a community to call my own. rachel was one of my first friends. she reached out to me and introduced me to her group of solid girlfriends who are still some of the closest gals to me in this big city now. i value the community she introduced me to every day. i can do life together with these girls and wouldn’t know where i would be without their daily support and love.
we all freaked when rachel sent us all a text over the holidays this year that she was engaged to nate. we had all grown to love him over the past few months and she couldn’t have found herself a better fit. i freaked even more when she told me she wanted me as her photographer. i’m beyond honored to share in their fantastic love story, capturing all the moments involved in starting their life together this summer. here’s a few from our time galavanting in & around old union station downtown (a newfound favorite spot to shoot). so very much looking forward to their nuptials this june!
