i’m left a bit speechless as i sit and collect my favorite images of 2013. some clients, some travels, some personal portraits. each image is a personal favorite for the emotion, the symbolism, the candid nature or purely the moment it captured.
2013 has been my best year yet. the year of my greatest adventures. the year of my greatest love story. the year JQP came into its own as a thriving photography business. the year of the traveling photog. the year i spent most of my hours in an airport. the year i tried my gosh-darndest. the year of exhaustion, fulfillment, lessons, romance, struggle, blood, sweat, tears.
to my patient clients for being so understanding of the relocation of JQP to seattle from chicago, to my dear, dear friends in chicago for letting me stay on your couches whenever i needed to, to my family for supporting me every step of the way, and to my darling fiance for being every ounce of strength i needed. this year would not have been possible without you. at all.
i say 2013 was my best year yet. and it was. but i have an incling that 2014 will be that much more spectacular. the year i become a mrs. the year i welcome a whole new batch of incredible clients. the year i will continue to be refined as a business woman, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a better friend. excited for you, 2014. and to you, 2013 – thank you from my the deepest parts of me. for holding me up, making me believe in my own strength, for keeping me grateful, and for leaving me with nothing left to do but sit back in awe of all that was accomplished in the past 365.
