it all started decades ago, when kori’s grandparents met in gary, indiana on the beach where kori and jim would later say “i do.”
the d.c. couple planned their day around the spot where the bride’s grandparents met, headed over to county line orchard for their reception and created a relaxed setting with solid family relationships & friendships at the core of their day. making these things a priority made all the difference on kori and jim’s wedding day. every inch of it was filled with homegrown & handpicked elements. comfort was the name of the game. and oh yeah, did i mention that jim is an award-winning personal trainer and well known for doing handstands? it was only appropriate that he stopped halfway down the aisle and walked the rest of the way on his hands. it’s always an added bonus when my couples add unique twists to their days, and jim’s talent was no different.
