julie emailed me a while back. “i just want photos of us enjoying eachother…enjoying life.” deal. probably the best thing i can be told going into a session. they didn’t want the focus of their session to be on the belly per se, but instead of the new life they’re bringing into this world and welcoming that life into a relationship that evidently contains devotion, comfort, and delight in each other. “we’re up for whatever,” they told me. so we headed into the art institute for this one, and walked the streets of downtown, stopping in front of whatever we felt like. i even convinced julie to let me grab a portrait of her by herself in that alley (so happy i did). i promised her she’d thank me later ;) and when the snow started on those famous maroon bridges, magic was made. here’s some of what we got.
