it all started in their high school math class, all innocent and such. young love, passed hand-written notes, full-on high school sweetheart style. actually, when i first met courtney several years ago, it was to take photos of her in cap & gown as a college graduate. i remember we chatted about this boyfriend of hers. she said they had been together forever and i asked if they had any plans to get married. “someday,” she said.
that “someday” came around this past june. among tall pines and all of that lush pacific northwest green, courtney and devin made it official. a true pnw summer day in june promises a bit of rain and there was as she walked down that aisle. but no one cared in the least. all eyes were on her. her eyes were on her dad beside her and her man at the end of the aisle. courtney was a vision of absolute grace. devin was strikingly handsome in his blues. and after their promises we celebrated big in one of the most jaw-dropping gorgeous receptions i have ever seen.
devin used to tell her, “forever and ever” even in high school. cheers to forever and ever, times two.
