it has been raining for a solid week leading up to megan and kirk’s day. it was all over the national news that the midwest was flooded to record breaking levels. megan and kirk went to visit their venue, the morton arboretum, the day before their wedding day and the place was flooded. we all had a feeling we may need to get creative come saturday.
but as luck would have it, the sun broke out saturday morning and gave us a glorious spring day in april. overnight, a lot of what was flooded had dried up and saved a lot of the plans made for saturday. even more, the “pond” outside the venue had turned into an infinity pool practically, creating quite the view for guests at the reception. when the union of two persons is meant to be, all things will work together for the good of the day that is planned to celebrate that union.
megan and kirk’s day was a beautiful day, taking place in one of the most incredible venues i’ve ever seen. so incredible that my second shooter and myself both called the next day asking about availability for our own weddings :)
excited to share the celebration of these two and all my congratulations to the happy couple on all to come!
