sometimes i get to photograph the weddings of very close friends. of course before that actually happens, those friends always ask if i’d rather photograph their day or attend it. 9 times out of 10, my answer is “please let me photograph it.” because the truth is this- i get to be by their side all day. i get VIP access. i get as close as i can get. and i get to tell the story behind the wedding days of dear, dear friends. it’s always my pleasure and the greatest gift i can give. it’s always the greatest honor to be trusted with preserving the memories of my friends’ celebrations.
katie and chad are those dear friends. they made the move from chicago to seattle with billy and i almost 2 years ago. the four of us have experienced a lot of life and a lot of adventure together in our 20s. they are super fun-loving, deeply caring, people and i adore them – for who they are individually, for what they make as a couple, and for always bringing out the best in those around them.
it was such a joy to be behind the lens on their day – to see it all come together just as they had envisioned. now, it’s even more of a pleasure to share the story of their wedding day, with every ounce of loveliness and charm it contained. congratulations to my dear katie & chad.
