so i meant to post this yesterday because, well, today’s thursday. but i kind of lose track of the week days at this point in the year. forgive me, will ya? but from now on, posts about my own wedding will always happen on a wednesday. because i’m crazy about alliteration :)
no that wedding season for JQPhoto is starting to wind down, planning for my own wedding has amped up. and things are slowly falling into place. billy and i have all of the major parts picked and booked. i’ll be doing full posts featuring my incredible vendors that i can’t wait to work with. but today i thought i’d start to share the vision as it’s coming together. and we all know the vision starts with a color palette. and what’s my palette you ask? what’s my theme? i’ve smashed together a bunch of words to describe what’s in my head for our day. they’ve sounded a little like this:
“organic glam.”
“urban garden.”
“golden bohemian.”
“lofty overgrown gold poppy garden in the middle of a city…ish.”
so i don’t blame anyone for not following what i’m getting at. the truth is, the vision will continue to come to fruition up until the day before the day. but to get an idea of at least the colors i’m trying to pull into our april 26th, 2014 spring wedding, here’s a bit of pinspiration. oh i can’t freakin wait.
colors: gold, copper, green, pops of poppy, ivory, perhaps a bit of yellow/peach, black
it’s coming together! my next post will be on our incredible venue so hang tight for that one.
I LOVE IT!!!
I LOVE IT!!!
I saw some really cute plates/bowls that were very "organic" and had poppies on them at the Marshalls on Clark St. in Lakeview… in case you even have a moment to yourself while still in Chicago!
I actually think I get it :)
