on sunday, i was given the awesome opportunity to photograph an intimate event with a small group of sounders fc fans at the hyatt at olive 8 in downtown seattle. brad evans, a well-loved midfielder for sounders fc and the u.s. men’s national team, cooked a meal alongside executive chef greg lopez at urbane restaurant and bar. every year, it’s a treat for a small group of fans who enter a sweepstakes to win a seat at the table. the event features a hands-on foodie activity followed be a seated, three course meal to enjoy. this year, brad and greg whipped up some unbelievable crab cakes for an appetizer, a salmon filet with a plum reduction sauce as a main dish, and a trio of seasonally fresh desserts. it was a delightful evening spent “cooking with a sounder,” enjoying exquisite cuisine, and carrying on conversations about all things related to seattle’s passionate soccer scene.
so lucky to have been a part of it all.
