it’s been a whirlwind of a start to the season. i’m hardly in the pacific northwest these days with weddings to photograph each weekend around the country.
so when i’m here, i make it count.
time intended specifically to relax and take a break is so important at this time of year. billy took the day off yesterday just to spend time together. i’m only in town for a few days before i leave again for a while so i suggested we run away and make some new memories together.
“darling, let’s be adventurers.”
we had heard of leavenworth, wa upon moving to seattle as this adorable german town, nestled at the bottom of a mountain. a few people had mentioned it as a “must-visit” so billy and i said, “hey, why not?”
we drove just to drive, headed out with no agenda, and explored. it was the perfect break and i can’t wait to take my family there when they come out here to visit. dad, you feel like you’re in one of those german towns we visited years ago.
oh it was a glorious past couple of days.
