Full Moon Resort Wedding | Mary & Michael

 
a little over a year ago, i was adopted into a family when i was hired to photograph ann & dameon’s fabulous wedding last february. i fell in love with that couple and their families and when ann’s younger sister, mary, got engaged, i was fortunate enough to get a phone call. we spoke prices. we talked about travel. mary mentioned she may look around and then when i didn’t hear from her, i assumed she had found another photog fit. a few months after our initial talk, she called and told me she just needed me to be there. despite my need to travel, she just knew. we cried a little on the phone together. no really, we did. mary and anne’s wedding days are ranked among the top professional experiences for JQPhoto. they reminded me of why i do what i do. they invited me in. i cried when they cried (and at mary’s that was a lot). their families are people of community and they make that known. this fact is why both of their days were so magical.

this past saturday in the catskills was pure whimsy. it was a hearty, earthy, gracious, grateful, and deeply meaningful day. belly laughs, wild flowers, vintage chic, twinkling lights, and a five piece band all blended together to create an overwhelming sense of home for the guests. it’s what the couple wanted. exactly what they wanted. because it’s who they are and the wedding reflected it.
