a text from my boyfriend woke me up this morning. “it’s so gorgeous outside.” 60 degrees. in february. in chicago. a rarity, to say the least. i immediately opened my bedroom window and instantly felt like singing, kinda like belle at the beginning of “beauty and the beast.” little town…YUP.
it was a photo walk kinda day, of course. i called up my good friend, anthony barlich, who also shares in my photo walk joy, and he was down like a clown. with windows rolled down and camera bags in the back seat of my little honda, we drove north til we found a place we wanted to settle down and explore for a bit. destination andersonville. i love random jaunts like these because it gets me away from my desk to think outside the box a bit. i get to talk to whoever, shoot whatever, go wherever. it’s a free-spirited tradition.
we were shooting around like fools. and it’s days like these that i adore my little big town of chi.
