as mentioned earlier, there was a part 2 to the styled shoot the girls and i put together and this half featured the stunning tiffany kim. we originally asked tiffany to help style the shoot because she is THE most stylish woman we know, this side of the mississippi. probably the other side, too. but i asked tiffany to model too because, well, you would too. i’ve shot tiff many times in the past few years, mainly just to try things out. i like to push boundaries with tiff, try new styles, try new techniques, and ultimately test the waters with what my equipment can do and to see what we can get out of it. this time, we wanted to feature the magical work of ali wear for hair & makeup.
tiffany’s always ready and willing and what results is always so fun to see. we usually curl up in our sweats on her couch in her dc apartment, order chinese, and i edit as she watches over my shoulder. we ooh. we ahh. and then we have a heart to heart over something. this time we did it all while the superbowl was on, not really looking up to see the game too much. “wait, i think someone just won the game…”
thanks, tiff, for letting me test the waters again with these. you’re my perfect model, and just because we’re so close doesn’t mean i’m biased…
phase 1: earthy, anthropologie, with a combination of grunge and angelic.
hair & makeup: ali wear
phase 2: urban, rockstar, dramatic and bold. (we raced home to tiff’s rooftop to grab these shots. i love the ones with the washington monument visible in the distance.)
hair & makeup: ali wear
