Custom Styled Session, Part 1 | The Versatile Wedding Dress

this weekend i was all over the washington, d.c., northern virginia, and maryland area, shooting my little brains out and fully embracing the joys of going full time in photography. i was asked to shoot a wedding out there a couple months ago and was thrilled that i had the opportunity to head out there, shoot an incredible wedding and also manage to have an entirely booked weekend of boudoir, trash the dress, and anniversary sessions!

a few dear friends of mine (who happen to be outrageously talented at their craft) schemed up a little styled shoot at great falls national park in maryland. we dressed up Rebekah (Rebekah Hoyt Photography) in her recently wedded gown. Ali Wear, our absolutely incredible makeup artist based out of Reston, VA, graced us all with her skills. and the one and only Tiffany Kim did her thing and styled Rebekah into an art form, leaving Ali (Alisandra Photography) and myself to photograph til we dropped.

what resulted was a few hours of tweeting, instagraming, stomach pains from laughing so hard, and some breathtaking images as evidence of talents hard at work. thank you ladies for coming together and donating your time and resources to pull this one off! letting it all hang out and having good ol’ girl time made me the happiest of clams. hoping there are many more styled shoots where this came from. introducing more than one way to wear the same wedding dress.
